Your item will be coming via freight truck.  Before I ship your item, there are some things you need to know.  Sometimes trucking companies are difficult to deal with and end up costing me and you more money.
    Questions I will ask you:
*Do you have a dock?  A dock is defined as a platform that a 53’ truck can back up to and be at the correct height to roll off the item with a pallet jack.
*Do you have a forklift?  A forklift must be able to lift the item off the truck, keep in mind your item could range from 400-2500 pounds. You must also be able to unload your item in a timely manner, meaning you need to be prepared at the time of delivery to unload your item.
*Do you need liftgate service?  If you do not have a dock or forklift a liftgate service can be arranged for an additional charge.
    *  Do you need inside delivery?  The above services are curbside only.  If you need a driver to bring you item inside for you this needs to arranged at the time freight is set up.  Drivers do not want to do any extra work for you.  Sometimes if the driver can roll right off the truck and into your space that is usually no problem.  But if things are more difficult of a delivery the driver will not work hard to deliver your item.
Some locations are limited access.  These include churches, schools, construction sites, storage facilities, farms or ranches, government facilities or strip malls.  These types of locations need to be stated up front as they may cost an additional fee.
Once freight is established and item has been picked up from me you will be provided with the tracking information.  Trucking companies usually have a target date to deliver, but this date is never set in stone.  It can change daily.  It will be your responsibility to check your tracking and even call the trucking company to get a better idea.  If you are not at your location when the item comes for delivery it will cost you more money for another delivery.
It is best to know everything up front when scheduling a shipment.  It will make my and your life much easier when the shipment comes for delivery.  This is also the best way to avoid any additional fees that may be assessed upon delivery.
Instructions at the time of delivery
At the time of delivery, it is your responsibility to inspect the item for any damage that may have occurred during shipping.
*If the item is damaged, you need to take several pictures and note it on the shipping documents.  If you sign for the item and it is damaged and you do not note it on the bol you are taking the item “as is”.  At this point, there is nothing I can do for you in terms of insurance, refund, credit.  It is your responsibility to note any damage.
*If the item is heavily damaged, you have the option to refuse the shipment.  In that case, we must work on an insurance claim with the trucking company.  Just be prepared, this can take weeks to months to get reimbursement.
*If you refuse a shipment for any other reason there will be a redelivery fee that can be more than half of the original shipping cost.  You will be responsible for this additional fee.  I will not allow the shipment to be redelivered unless I have received the payment for redelivery.
*Bottom line is being there and be ready to receiver your shipment
